1.Funny Dance for Me
Track probably made in the early 2000s. I used mainly FL Studio (now FL Studio) and a DAW called Fruity Loops at the time. I like the TB-303-like synth bass sound that was preset in Fruity Loops, and used it in this track.
The melodious synth arpeggio phrases were created by playing the small keys on the MC-303 with the arpeggiator turned on.
2.Electric Satie
I like three-beat songs. I made this one around the beginning of 2000.
I liked Erik Satie at the time, so I guess it’s a bit like that.
3.December
I like “Interlude” which is sometimes included in various artists’ albums.
It’s a track that seems to have been created with just one idea. I like to listen to it, but I also like to make it. So, I originally made this track for an album interlude.
4.Like a Rolling Beans
Originally, the song was a bit longer, but I took out the best part in the middle. It’s a bit like a “tasty part” in the middle of the song.
It is a track that rolls along slowly and unobtrusively. That’s why the title is Like a Rolling Beans.
5.Naive Diary
This track is also the title track of the album.
Naive = honest, naive, or simple. In other words, this track was created with the image of a track by Childisc, an artist led by Nobukazu Takemura, whom I loved in the early 2000s.
It is a simple, unadorned, slightly experimental track. That’s how I feel about it.
By the way, the field recordings were made in Okutama.
