“Re-Humming For You” is a reworking of the song “Humming For You” featuring the fictional idol singer ‘Ema Grace’, amplifying its beauty and transience.
The pleasant beat, electric piano, and humming voice create a watercolor-like worldview.

What was the inspiration and concept behind the song “Re-Humming For You (feat. Ema Grace)”?
Ryoma Maeda:In Da Nang (Vietnam), where I currently live, I often go to the beach in the early morning or at dusk.
I created this song with the image of a love song that you would want to sing at the beach at dusk in summer.
In the lyrics
This is not a sad song
It is not a fun song either
It is a song that flows like water and humming
It is a song that flows like water and humming,
This is exactly what I had in mind when I wrote this song.
How did you come to have Ema Grace as a featured artist and what appeal did her vocals bring to the music?
Ryoma Maeda: Ema Grace is a fictional idol singer created by me with VOCALOID and copyright free photos.
I do not like the type of vocalist who sings with a lot of emotion; I prefer vocalists who sing in a casual humming manner.
In that sense, Ema Grace’s voice quality and singing style matched this song.
What is the meaning behind the title of the song, “Re-Humming For You”?
Ryoma Maeda: The original version of this song is called “Humming For You” under the name Ema Grace.
The song was rearranged many times, and “Re-Humming For You” was completed as the final form.
It is meant to be a kind of “final answer song” after reinterpreting the original many times, just as “Re” is added to an e-mail reply.
In terms of sound, were there any particular aspects you focused on or challenged?
Ryoma Maeda: I love the song “Runaway” by Kanye West, and the arrangement with the piano playing in a single note in the upper register is a tribute to “Runaway. By the way, I also love the music video of “Runaway”.
What message or story is contained in the lyrics?
Ryoma Maeda: I don’t usually put messages in my music or lyrics, so I don’t put messages in my music,
As I mentioned before, I often go to Da Nang (Vietnam) with my family at sunset on the beach in summer. The atmosphere and scenery are directly reflected in the lyrics and the music.
In that sense, it may be a love song to my family.
Are there any particular points in the music that you would like listeners to pay attention to?
Ryoma Maeda: The last part of the song is the part where the song modulates to a different key and gets exciting. I had not done many arrangements with modulations, but this is the first time in a long time that I have made a song with modulations.
Also, I think the lyrics are good.
