「Incomplete / Ryoma Maeda」はどのように創られたのか？

2024年4月19日リリース「Incomplete / Ryoma Maeda」

この曲を作り始めた発端は、ふとApple MusicでJ-POPのプレイリストを聴いてる時

「オレって(現代？）のポップミュージック作ろうと思ったら作れるのだろうか？？」

と思った。

これまで作った楽曲も、作り始めたきっかけと、最終着地点はだいぶ離れた作品になるので、楽曲を作り始める時の発想の発端は正直何でもいい。

ざっくり決めた他ことはドラムンベース的な早いBPM、ビートパターンにしたい。ということだけ。

それは90年代後期のドラムンベース最盛期のころ,ティーンエイジャーだったこともあり、結局、一番影響をうけて、好きなのは、このあたりのサウンドなのである。

まずは大体のコード進行と歌メロとビートだけ作り、その後、

歌メロを一度midiデータでエクスポートして、ボカロエディターに読み込む。

歌詞はメロに合わせて作るのではなく、とりあえずメロは無視してざっくり作り、その後、メロに当てはめた後に微調整する手法で作成。

色々、いまいち制作のテンション上がらず試行錯誤して難航し、通常よりも制作に時間がかかった。「とりあえず完成かな、、、」というとこまではこぎつけた。

しかし、やっぱり何か物足りない気がしたまま完成とするのは嫌だな、、、と思い、再度、DAWのプロジェクトを立ち上げ制作再開。

やっぱり最後の一押し的なCメロを追加したら、「これだー！！！！」と思えた。

そして、今度こそ本当に完成。

そんな感じで創られた楽曲なのでした。
